Budget (including currency): 200-400

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Modded Minecraft, OBS

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I do singleplayer Modded Minecraft. Typically I have around 500 mods at any one time with shaders. Currently I get about 60fps, but its not consistent. I know Vanilla Minecraft is typically relies on single thread performance, but I am not sure if upgrading to Ryzen 7 5700x3d would be a smart choice for more overall performance or if going with the 7600x is the better choice and using some of my budget for a new motherboard and ram. I am expecting the price to drop after the new 9000 series drops, which will help my budge constraints. I typically only upgrade my computer every 10 years so I am looking for a bit of longevity as well.

Current Build:

Ryzen 5 3600x

B550 Motherboard

32GBs DDR4

RTX 3060

Gen 3 NVme

2k 27' Display

Minecraft doesn't seem to care for 3D v-cache, so if that's all you play, then I wouldn't bother. You'd want to look at the 5700x or 5800x or simply just get more cash and upgrade to a 9700x on release.

In my testing, the 98MB of L2+L3 a core has access to isn't enough for Minecraft to see the benefits of 3D v-cache, so Intel's higher memory bandwidth and IPC usually wins with this application.
