Need help for PC building

Go to solution Solved by _Omega_,

Best i could do for new parts, you could cut some more corners but its just 6 € over budget

Budget (including currency): 600€ or 650.16$ as of 07/05/2024

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Hitman 3, Trackmania 2020, Forza Motorsport (latest)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want to use a Ryzen 5 3600 as it has a good performance per dollar and a good upgrade path.

I do not really care for the size of the case. ATX or Micro-ATX is good, but Mini-ITX is good enough too. I do not particularly need RGB, but I won't say no ! I think for the RAM, the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 should be good.

I'm going to buy in 2-3 weeks I think.

I want to play in 1080p, 60Hz is enough, but 120Hz if possible. I already have a monitor, and windows' cost will not be included in the 600€.

Please note this is the FIRST time I build a gaming PC.

pretty low budget to include a monitor too, but perhaps for AM4 could work,

at low budgets it's advised to consider used market, as there you could find cheaper parts that can still last you pretty long time or be as reliable as new ones even though they're used.

there's also a 650€ guide for France on pcpartpicker, the individual parts could be little modified, as the guides follow a vague requirements, but some things are good, like the PSUs are decent even if they won't leave much upgrade path they are dirt cheap and good quality,

I'm currently busy, but I could try cut some corners, or you could use French template from pcpartpicker, the PSU is cheaper for example

but like i said you could cut some corners i just choose the 650W PSU for example so you could upgrade to a better gpu/cpu down the line. for the build as it is a 550W PSU should be more than enough

yea, i just didn't trust that SSD after having to deal with a failing "noname" ssd some time ago leading to a corrupted windows installation every few weeks until it outright stopped working. And with the PSU i just hate to recommend unitis with no headroom, when some one is excided to have savend some money for a new GPU and you have to tell them that he/she has to buy a new PSU as well.

Other hand is the 5600 a sizable bit better but i don't think you would notice with the RX6600

you will notice 5600 has double cache on 5500,

also there is some headroom, the RX 6600 is recommended 300W PSU, there is a small headroom, headroom for 2070 Super, 7600 XT, 4070 Super, and some of the AMD cards are recommended 600W PSU so unless your CPU is stronger than 5600 you cold rock some of the likes of 7800 XT just with a good 550W unit
