Air cooling help?

Ok, so my computer has a bit of a problem. Whenever im running say something like league of legends or starcraft 2 and graphics card ( Radeon HD6950) runs at between 60-80 C. and when it gets this hot also the fans are unbearably loud is their a way to fix this like a certain fan configuration or should i just get new fans or hell even a new graphcs card?

Have you changed the thermal paste ever? You could make a fan curve but then it would just be hotter... If it runs your games you don't need a new one.

start by maybe cleaning it out, and then make sure its getting new air from the outside, if this is too much buy a new one and a case that will help you cool it better

like opening the card and cleaning it out, cause i know the 6950 runs extremely hot compared to other cards

graphics card: Radeon HD 6950

cpu: AMD FX-8350

motherboard: asus m5a97 r 2.0

Ram: corsair 8gb

Case : CM storm enforcer w/ 2 extra fan on top

You can't really do anything for airflow in that case. You could mod case and remove windows and replace it with mesh.

60-80C is totaly normal for a GPU especialy older Radeon´s.

That the fans are load, is because its an older card, and also they need to keep the card cool.

 

Maybe its time to upgrade your gpu someday to a R9-290 non reference or what not?

ah well im just trying to keep the noise down, i can hear my computer from the living room when its in my room. well is there a material i can get for noise dampening?

You could try to set your gpu fan speeds down, by using msi afterburner, wenn idleing, it should be no problem to ramp down the gpu fan speed, however wenn gaming, you want to keep the card under 90C if possible.
