GPU upgrade for my PC

Luka_875

Budget (including currency): 500KM (275$, 255€)

Country: Bosnia and Herzegovina

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS2, War Thunder, Assetto Corsa, Doom Eternal and possibly Minecraft with raytracing/shaders

Other details:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

RAM: 2X8GB Kingston Fury DDR4 3200 CL16 (I am planning to buy another 16GB kit for a total of 32GB)

Motherboard: Aorus Elite B450

GPU: Asus Turbo 1060 6GB

Monitor: Atm it's a 75Hz 1440x900 screen, but I will buy very soon a 1080p(hopefully a 1440p) 144Hz or 1080p 240Hz

PSU: Will upgrade it very soon to 650W

I mostly shop on olx.ba and I don't mind used hardware, I actually prefer it since it's much cheaper

Also I've found a RTX 4060 for 500KM and was wondering if it's actually worth getting over a similarly priced 3060 ti

With a budget like yours you should only consider AMD, 5700XT/6700XT. If you're willing to risk it and live on the bleeding edge and bet ever bigger bang for buck consider Intel's A770. NVIDIA will ask too much a premium and in casual rasterized games will get the least advantage as NVIDIA specific tech can't be leveraged.

Desktop: Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Kraken X62 Rev 2 - STRIX X470-I - 3600MHz 32GB Kingston Fury - 250GB 970 Evo boot - 2x 500GB 860 Evo - 1TB P3 - 4TB HDD - RX6800 - RMx 750 W 80+ Gold - Manta - Silent Wings Pro 4's enjoyer

SetupZowie XL2740 27.0" 240hz - Roccat Burt Pro Corsair K70 LUX browns - PC38X - Mackie CR5X's

Current build on PCPartPicker

I was actually thinking about an A770, but like you said, it seems to differ quite a lot from game to game, especially older games where their translation tool for DirectX doesn't seem to be perfect yet, and my concern is stability and for how much longer will they keep optimising their drivers for this series.

What do you think about an RTX 3070 instead of the 6700XT? They are in the similar range of price here
