so, recently I was out and I come home and my computer wont start, my lock screw hole on my case for my graphics card got stripped so when plugging things in you have to be extremely careful, my younger brother must have not realized and shoved really hard, because without the gpu the computer starts and runs fine. should I assume I need a new graphics card, or the PCI-E slot is damaged and i need a new motherboard, replacing one or both wouldnt be an issue, just which one? thanks for any help.

try posting a picture of the motherboard and one of the gpu. otherwise it's hard to tell what might be damaged.

in doubt try with a different gpu, if it works the mobo's fine and the gpu is dead, if it doesn't try your gpu on someone else's pc, if it works it's fine, otherwise it's toast.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
