So basically my pc has been working fine lately, but i went away for 2 days out of the city for college graduation presentations and when i came back my pc wouldnt turn on at all..i tried switching it on and off through the psu i tried plugging it directly to the wall nothing..as if its not connected to any power nothing even lights up

Specs : i5 11400

Rtx 3070

16 gb ram

H510M-S2H

1tb hdd

256GB SSD

Coolermaster mwe v2 230V 650W

Then i tried the classic "unplug then plug back" everything on the motherboard trick and i replaced my thermal paste in the process to and it booted to bios saying it failed to boot and i chose "restore default settings and rebooted then it worked?..i dont get what happened, I also used superposition at extreme and no crashes or anything happened so not the gpu, tried playing tekken 8 for long times and nothing happened so..any ideas?

Your pc had no choice but to work, when you pulled the "unplug and plug back" move

Well im glad it is working now, but my question is Why? I mean if something burnt/fried i would know right? It still wouldnt turn on no? I smelt all the cables when i took them out and nothing. I checked my CPU pins and nothing

I checked my GPU and nothing but the electricity smell we all know. So whats the catch here?

You mean you tried the switch on the psu and then powered on without success ?

Well, you must have had a connector loose or with a bad connection somewhere and you solved it, Kudos !

Yes i powered off and on the psu without success and it didn't work
i tried plugging it to the wall directly without using the power strip (Its safe been using it for years) and it didn't work still
I unplugged everything on the motherboard and plugged it back in and voila there was life
i don't know why but it scares me lol
