I'd like to pair the NZXT H6 Flow RGB case with a top mounted Arctic Liquid Freezer III A-RGB 360mm AIO, but the H6 flow's max top radiator thickness is 30mm, while the Liquid Freezer III is 38mm thick. Could I make this work, or will I have to find another case? Would the H9 Elite work?

Its going to depend on your motherboard and its DIMM / VRM heatsink placement.

This is a LFII (same 38mm thick rad) in an H6 Flow.

Ill be using it to cool a 14700kf, and regardless of wether or not a 360mm is totally required, I'd like to use one because of the three fans vs the two you would get with a smaller AIO. That said, I am pretty confident a 360mm will be required, I plan to use this PC for gaming and Unreal Engine 5 rendering, the latter maxing out the CPU for long periods of time.

why not 7950x? you can undervolt those quite abit to reduce the power consumption with basically no performance penalty due to the horrible config out of the box

and you can also cut cost on the board as basically all am5 boards except some lowend garbage matx b650/a620 will have vrms capable of driving an overclocked 7950x even a b650m hdv so basically any ~150$ board will do

with an undervolted 7950x you wont even need a liquid freezer iii and you dont have to swap the board out for future cpu upgrades

LF3 doesn't cool Intel as well as some other options, like the Lian Li Galahad 2 Trinity Performance and Silverstone IceMyst.

Also, you are better off front or side mounting an AIO.

Finally, on some cases you would be able to mount the fans on the outer surface of the case, preferably with a gasket between.

Will that fit up top in the H6?

Yes. Again, the tools exist to find out.

Insane to me that you'd pay over $250 to cool a 14700k but hey, you are free to allocate your funds however you please.

Maybe we're thinking of different coolers, heres the one I was looking at: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/HH88TW/lian-li-galahad-ii-trinity-sl-inf-613-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-ga2t36inw

You're not - GS is just looking at a different source that charges tons more.

I looked at one with a screen, I'm not bothering to decipher the slight model number changes. Regardless, $160 is crazy to me.

Well, generally, AIOs are overpriced, so I agree. I only buy them if they're <100. Although I'm considering the Phanteks GLACIER ONE 360 for $110. But that's with M25 fans, not T30s.
