OK download latency but massive upload latency?

Ive tried everything reseting, adjusting router settings, etc, For context i have a 250 some foot cat5e run with chainlinked routers, speeds on both down and up are as expected/better but accompanied by a high upload lateny jumping anywhere from 200-450, Ive tried everything i can think of shortening the run, switching cables, different settings and nothing works. If anybody has a fix then please help im tired of this...

Have you verified that your connection and wiring isn't frail or weakened? If you have good vision ie haven't got a thumb stuck in your eye, then carefully examine the entire run of wire to make sure you didn't get sliced up some where along the way. Good luck, mate.

Are you maxing out your ISP's upload bandwidth? That's a sure fire way to get lowsy upload ping, caused by buffer bloat.

QoS/SmartQueue can be configured for some routers to set a cap on upload speeds and prioritize traffic and prevent this. Start with setting it to 90% of max upload and adjust from there.

You can do a before & after buffer bloat test using various sites online. Speedtest.net tends to at least give down & up ping times, but not bufferbloat ratings.
