How is my build? 1440p 144hz gaming

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NtWsGP

I will be using this build for 1440p144hz and VR, I don't have a set budget. Airflow and sound are a big concern, I will be using speakers and don't want to hear my PC. Regarding the CPU, I know that the 9800X3D is right around the corner, however $340 is a great price for the 7800X3D, especially compared to the $450-$500 that the 9800X3D will likely be. The PSU and GPU I already have from before. Is there anything I should change/add?

It's pretty good. There is a couple things I would change, you can get the same kit of RAM from a different company for $20 cheaper, and that $20 can be moved to the SSD to get a drive with double the capacity (albeit slightly slower, but it's highly unlikely that you'd notice the difference). The fans are another thing that I'm a little confused about, where were you planning on putting them? You can only fit two up top, and the internal fan mounts don't really do much for component temps. Even then, the included fans should be plenty for the system you're building, I'd just ditch the fans all together and add them later if they are deemed necessary.

Eh, not that around the corner. The earliest rumors I've heard of its release are late September, so at least 3 months away.

I didn't know about the ram and ssd, thanks.

For the fans it's supposed to be two at the top and two at the bottom

Would the 3 fans it come with really be enough? I feel like it should be 2 outtake and 3 intake at least.

just cost cuts with an upgrade to the board

Thanks, I'll also consider this ssd, but why the motherboard upgrade? I don't need anything special from a motherboard, is there anything particularly wrong with the motherboard I chose?

Yes, I've built a similar system in that case (7900 XTX instead of the 6800, but otherwise the same), and it was relatively quiet with perfectly adequate temperatures. Adding more fans won't help temps that much and can only really add to the noise level of the system.

hdv is kinda meh value at 134.5$ and itll also look abit strange in an atx case, pg lightning has better i/o and since its atx it wont look out of place in an atx case
