First New build in quite awhile.

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming & Light Video Editing/Encoding

Last 5-6 years I've been busy with a new job and saving for buying my own place so I worked a ton, while I was saving I was renting a small room off my brother and didn't have room to setup a desktop so I have been using a couple different highish end laptops and using a lapdesk just gamed on my bed.  Now that I've bought my own place and have room for a desktop it's time to look into building it.

Here's a pcpartpicker link to what I have in mind so far. Current cost $3067.66 CAD (($2231.77USD) (CPU and Case already Purchased))

Case:  NZXT H6 Flow

Processor:  AMD Ryzen 7900X3D (Found at a huge discount 47% off + another discount code ended up getting it $419CAD ($305USD) shipped which was less then a 7800X3D Before taxes $489 CAD ($356 USD))

CPU Cooler:  ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 CPU Cooler

MOBO:  ASRock X670E PG Lightning ATX (another member recommended the B650 version but the X670E version was cheaper, specs looked similar lemme know if there's a reason to pay more for the B650 version)

Ram:  G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory (this memory is listed as compatible)

SSD:  Verbatim Vi7000G 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME

GPU:  MSI EXPERT GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

PSU:  Corsair RM850x (2021) 850W (I plan on overclocking thinking this should be enough?)

I already have Mouse and Keyboard, Speakers/Headset, and 2 newish 1440p Monitors.

So I use bluetooth for my controller so I was wondering what would be the best method to add bluetooth to this system as well, usb dongle? m.2 wifi card?

Case - Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 : Mobo - Asus Maximus VI Gene : PSU - Corsair AX760 : CPU - Intel i7 4790k w/ EK-Supremacy EVO Copper/Acetal Water Block  : Memory - Corsair Vengence Pro 24gb 1600mhz : GPU - Evga GTX 780 Ti Classified w/ EK-FC780 GTX Classy - Acetal+Nickel Water Block : Storage - Samsung 840 Evo 250gb & 850 Evo 1tb SSDs, 2x 6TB External HDDs : Fans - 5x Noctua NF-F12 & 1x NF-S12A : Display - 24in Benq XL2420TE : Rads - Darkside LPX360 & LP240 : Pump/Res - EK-XRES 140 D5 Vario Pump

just some adjustments for better value and also a board thatll allow proper oc

considering you want to overclock i swapped the board for a b650e taichi lite as it has eclk for overclocking the cache ccd of the 7900x3d, also its just outright better than the x670e pg lightning with better i/o and even a postcode which is especially useful for ram oc

p3 plus is slow dramless qlc trash and there are superior ssds available for cheaper like the s880 which is still dramless but its a high end gen4 thats actually fast, but i went for a dram gen4 cause thatll be abit faster than dramless

rmx has always been bad value but now that the rme exists i give it a pass as its still got a 10 year warranty, did swap it out anyways for a px1000g that still retains the 10 year warranty and is a 1000w unit instead of an 850w

do keep in mind that if you want to overclock zen4 properly youll have to delid the cpu as the ihs is rubbish and hinders heat transfer at higher power draws, if you dont wanna delid then dont bother getting an oc board and go for a cheaper dual tower cooler like the phantom spirit unless you just like the looks of aios cause you wont make it far with the crappy ihs

You can save on stuff like cooling, as 3d chips are cool, get a cheaper mobo as any b650 has quite enough VRM

Also a better but smaller SSD, if you really need many GB of storage get some additional drive later

I'm suspecting you have old crappy monitors so you can use the saved money to get a nice 1440p IPS 144hz monitor

I'm not planning on going crazy with the oc just going to get what I can easily get.  only issue I see with your changes is the case I bought doesn't say that EATX boards are supported and the Taichi lite is EATX will that be an issue? Also since I'm not planning on going OC crazy is the 1000w PSU required? pcpartpicker is saying 608w estimated not sure how much that will increase with some light/moderate ocing?
