Changing File Explorer Default View

Renegade042

Back in the olden days when y ou used to browse a CD and then removed it File Explorer would default to a

different location.  In 2024 File Explorer closes when I remove a CD i am browing.

How do I change that?  Any other view would be fine, everything other than closing.

On a side note, remember when google was useful....can't google search my way out of a paper bag anymore...:(

You cant, that is explorers default behaviour now.

Try third party file explorer apps or registry "hacks" discussed in this MS community post
