Xerox Network printer Error

Hi guys,

 

 when printing from multiple computers our Xerox printer is giving us the error "Fault Code 047-211: Exit 1 Offset Catch Tray Home Position Sensor Error"

 

If we switch off the printer and back on it prints the first time then shows the error code "047-211" again. 

 

Has anyone come across this before, not sure if it requires a replacement part from Xerox?

Does that printer have a second output tray you can open? 

 

Sounds like a switch or sensor is bad. Without knowing the exact model, all we can really do is guess.

It's the "Xerox VersaLink C8000"

 

Quite an expensive printer so if it requires a physical part it maybe time to call Xerox

Suggestions From Xerox

 

Check for and remove any jammed media from the exit area.

Power the printer off and on using the power button on the Control Panel.

If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.

That has been done.

 

Strange it works fine once it's been restarted and the error clears then it comes back after a few prints. 

 

Pointing towards a physical sensor at this stage I feel.
