Haswell Refresh

So is Haswell refresh going to work on Z87 boards because this was in a BIOS update.

Someone didn't watch the WAN show (:

 

Basically, it can work, but it requires a firmware update. It's up to the board manufacturer to either support it or not, but I'd expect the higher end Z87 boards to be updated, but maybe not the lower end.

In accordance to what those above me said; you have a pretty freaking high end board. I'd rest easy.

And Haswell refresh refers to Devils Canyon and the new Haswell Updated ones right but not Broadwell?

Yeah. Haswell refresh will still be on the 4xxx naming system, but Broadwell will be 5xxx. I think Broadwell is still on the 1150 socket though, but will probably only be on the Z/H/B etc 97 chipset
