SSD vs better GPU??

Which one would you go for? and why?

 

1. GTX 780 and 250 GB ssd

 

2. GTX 780 ti and no ssd

are you going to be gaming in 1440p or 4K resolutions? The 780 is still a very good GPU, and the difference in upgrading to a 780Ti isn't worth more than an SSD in my opinion. Besides the speed, it's surprising how loud HDDs are. Especially old dying ones

If you already have an ssd then get the 780TI. If you don't have one get the ssd and gpu

Gtx 780 and 780ti have 15% or less difference. this may seem like a lot but without a ssd ur computer will die

I agree, if you don't already have a SSD then definitely get one. Go for the 780 and if if you feel real crazy then in a year, get another one and run SLI.

I hate my rig not having a ssd, it takes so long to boot and everything and i only really need 1080p gaming so having a 780ti would be usless for me, ssd and 780 deffinetly

780 + SSD especially if you plan to game at only 1080p resolution. The boot speed, amongst other things, provided by the SSD makes a world of difference.

GTX 780 Ti and get a Seagate Hybrid SSHD instead. It's only slightly more expensive than your average 3.5" desktop hard drive, and you get the benefits of an SSD in most cases, like boot up and application loading times -- and you get huge storage. Comes in 1, 2, 3 and 4 TB flavors.

I would go for 780 Ti + SSD. It's the baddest GPU available.

780 and SSD, there isn't a big enough difference in the GPUs to warrant getting a 780ti. The SSD will make more of a difference to overall performance.

The 780ti doesn't offer as much performance increase for the price increase. You're way better off with the SSD too

Every time you use your PC the SSD will give a performance boost - faster boot times and faster loading of everything on it. The benefits of a 780ti over a 780 will be much more limited and confined to a smaller number of tasks.

You dont need to boot everytime, you cna just hibernate.

I rarely find myself using that.
