Pc crashes while using xmp/expo

My pc specs are:

CPU: Ryzen 7800x3d

Mobo: Gigabyte B650M S2h

Ram: XPG Lancer Blade 6000mhz cl30

I was using bios version F22b(which i can't find anymore on gigabyte's website) and whenever i used xmp/expo my pc used to crash during games only after 2-4hrs or sometimes not at all. I upgraded my bios to F24a(as its the latest one) now whenever i run xmp/expo my game crashes sometimes at launch or like within 5mins. With xmp/expo disabled games work fine, i need a fix.

Here's a fix - replace the motherboard. Or the RAM, but I'd replace the motherboard first because it has a weak VRM.

just don't use it. XMP/EXPO is essentially the automatic profile for ram overclocking so just set the speed in bios to your ram speed, if it crashes again then go one down and keep going until it's stable (use a mem stress test to test for stability)

Alright. First of all be advised, your motherboard exist in two revisions running different bios'. 1.0 and 1.1:

If you got 1.0 then BIOS F24 is ok. Because you got 7800X3D and not ryzen 8000 I would roll back to F21, because the newer versions is optimized for Ryzen 8000. Might not make a lot of difference .

After that. check SPD in BIOS. Set primary timings, frequency and dram voltage, manually, leave expo on disabled, timings: eg. 30-36-36-36-76 and leave everything else on auto. Set dram voltage to whatever it is, 1.4v maybe?

I agree with swapping board because of weak VRM, though it should be possible to get stable with manually setting timings on RAM. Might not get maximum performance from CPU though.
