Hey folks,

Well i have a 1TB HDD Seagate, i have 2 partitions in that HDD, 1 of 496gb and the other 435gb, my question here is, how to make that the 496gb to give more space to the 435gb partition, to make it 300gb and 600gb, and in this 496gb partition i have windows, and the other partitions of 435, i have games, music, etc, i just want to give more space to that 435gb and make it 600gb, how to do it?, if it is possible, is it safe?.

Thanks in advance.

You can via Windows disk management.

Here, take a look at these instructions:

If you need something more or cannot do it with windows tools, I found that Acronis Disk Director works wonders but it's not free.

And doing this, is it safe to do?, no files risk or etc?, or is there a risk?

and Thanks for your answer : )

I did it a few times and had no problems with files, even windows states it's safe if you have anything above Windows XP, XP tools erased the data but these do not. Just make sure you have enough free space to do this. As I said, if you have some problems with windows tools (I had sometimes with extending partitions, again, no files deleted or anything like it just windows being stubborn) use some specialized application.

That being said, it is always good to backup your most important data before messing around with partitions no matter how safe it is.
