What Power Supply I need for a ASROCK B450 Pro4?

Ernand

This weekend I got a few PC parts from my neighbor who was moving out, In those parts I acquired an almost complete PC rig. (CPU Ryzer 5 3600x, Mobo  ASROCK B450 Pro4, Ram 16Gb, AIO cooler, fans)

The one thing missing is a Power Supply, SSD, and a GPU.

I tried to look online, but I am not sure what Wattage of PSU I should get.
I want to get one with enough head space for a GPU in the future, but I do not want to buy a 1000W, if I will just ever need 650W.

I do not plan to overclock this thing.

Any recommendation as to the minimum wattage I would need?

Here is a Photo of the parts I got

It all depends on your CPU and GPU that you want.  A solid 650w will go a long way and 750w will give some overhead.

I run a Ryzen 7700x with overclocked RTX 4080 on a 750w and could easily run it on a 650w as well.

What CPU did you get?

You get a PSU based on the CPU/GPU, not the motherboard.

Finalize the build, selecting PSU last based on all other parts.

It seems to be a Ryzen 5 3600x
And I might either get a 1060 or a 3060, which ever comes first and cheaper.

a solid 550w - 650w will do plenty for that 🙂  Get a 650w for a little headroom.

The MSI MAG A650BN is decent with a 5 year warranty. Budget friendly price.

Well the 1060 will be cheaper, as it's old and weak (relatively).

Don't buy it.  Find out your budget and then look at what you can get.

Thanks, for now, I will use my old Radeon R9 360 OEM.
I think that is less than 400W total, right?

I think a 650W will be good for an upgrade, and I might get a 750W if is on sale.

I assume a 850W would be overkill?
