Windows Update not working

Morpheuszy

These updates just won't finish, keeps getting error or stuck. Sometimes when i shut down or restart, it shows "Getting Windows Ready" then it'll be stuck there so I have to shut down my pc. Anything I can do?

Did you restart the program?

If yes, then I'm out of ideas.

Not that I'm really savvy at it, but I'm curious what kinda error popped out ?

If there's an error code , let us know what's the error code on which update module.

Example : 0x80070643 for KB5034441

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

No sure idea yet about 0x80070057 , though by quick searching on google seems there's a lot of articles / forum post pointing to some kinda issue about storage.

As for 0x80070643 for KB5034441 , it's an error almost everyone encountered (including me a few days ago on my desktop) due to insufficient free space in the Recovery partition.

There was a lot of people asking about it in this forum post as well.

The only way to remedy this was to manually or semi-manually increase the size of the recovery partition.

Remember to back up your important data before messing with OS partition.

did what the guide said, but it says that no partition was needed

Well that's new.

I'm gonna need to do some research about that, sorry.

though hopefully someone will come with solution while I'm doing that.
