How significant is Nvidia low reflex?

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

Extremely minor for both amd and nvidia.

Are you a top 0.000001% ultra mega pro gamer deluxe supreme street fighter alpha zero max cheese kawabunga gamer?

If the answer is no then well it don matter one bit.

Its mostly marketing really and making big numbers look important or oh no your pc is so much worse by now being 0.02ms slower (something you need a very high speed cam to even just see the difference). Some blind tests have been done people dont notice. Except in one game but forgot what that was as it was a technical issue where there was a bunch of input lag unless you turned on one of these features for some reason.

I do play a couple of competitive games and i thought Nvidia's low reflex might affect my buying choices. I was planning to get an rx 6800, but after hearing about low reflex and how it is much better than amd's anti-lag, i started to wonder if i should go team green. Apparently low reflex gets rid of the rendering queue to reduce latency, but if i have a mid range gpu like the 6800 will that be a significant latency decrease?

AMD also has AntiLag and AntiLag+ but limiting the framerate without having a CPU bottleneck causing stutters is still the best option.
