So, I'm trying to erase data on my flash drive, to store my backups on it, and it says it's "write protected". This happened recently when I tried to read some drivers off of it on my new PC. I don't know if something was wrong with the drivers, but they were downloaded directly off the manufacturers site. I tried to use a DOS commands(yes, I used the /f parameter), but the same thing happened, another "this disk is write protected" error popped up. I tried to format the drive, but that didn't work either. Windows also acknowledges that there is an error, so that is also suspicious.

Is there any way to take off a write protection naively in windows?

Thanks in Advance,

-Shadow.
