That weird, i'll try again.

Its fine, and very normal for a lot of coolers. The cores are in the middle anyways: LL

What temps you getting? That CPU isn't very hot if I remember correctly

Hi,

I'm not sure if i'm being a wally here. I'm setting up a second machine and the cooler I have doesn't quite cover then entire CPU, please see below. The cooler in question is a Coolermaster Tower, I do have 2 other replacements that cover the whole thing. One is "old" block, the other is from my Ryzen 4500. The chip is an FX8350 and has run hot in the past.

It was ok as is in the photo in an mATX Case (CiT F3) and will be going into a CiT Galaxy.

Should I swap to cover the whole CPU or keep the tower on it, it will be getting new paste as I am swapping motherboards.

Thanks

Thank you, I thought it would be ok as I had not seen any issues. I think it was getting to around 60 Celcius, it's been some time since I last used it.

60c is perfectly fine.

You're generally unlikely to be lower unless you're running liquid cooling.
