Exiting to desktop while gaming

Bekika

Hi there guys!
I have a "small" problem.
While gaming (only gaming) in full-screen mode my PC just exit to desktop (like alt-tab) and my game is still running.
I updated the latest graphics driver and everything is up-to-date.
My specs:
Intel i5 11400f
Nvidia RTX 3060 12gb OC edition
16gb ddr4 RAM
1tb nvme ssd and
Cooler master 750w

If everything appears to be working fine the only thing I can suggest right now would be to run the sfc /scannow tool to make sure that everything in windoze is on the up and up.

How to run System File Checker (SFC) from within Windows as an Administrator:

Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows 8 or 8.1

From the desktop, press the Windows + X shortcut key combination.

In the menu, select Command Prompt (Admin).

NOTE: System File Checker can be run from Windows PowerShell (Admin).

On the User Account Control (UAC) prompt, click Yes.

In the command prompt window, type SFC /scannow and press Enter.

System file checker utility checks the integrity of Windows system files and repairs them if required.

After the process is complete, reboot the computer.

So after some time this bug came back. I was playing some league of legends and it keeps kicking me out of the game after like 10-15 minutes. Could it be that Nvidias instant replay feature is causing the problem?

If everything returned to normal after doing the sfc /scannow thing and you have changed nothing or done nothing to create the bug again then I would say the most likely problem is something that could be messing with the video drivers.  Try using DDU (video driver deletion tool) to get rid of everything driver related but after using DDU, make sure that you reboot the machine.  If you don't do a reboot after using DDU, then there is the possibility of random nvidia junk files remaining on the machine.  Here is a link for the DDU uninstall software.

Only after the reboot do you go ahead and reinstall the video drivers.

Give that a shot and let us know how it goes

Take Care and Good Luck.
