Im not sure if this is the correct place for this because it bridges a few topics, but anyway

I have a 1080p 27" Viewsonic monitor powered by a kettle lead and a RM850e PSU also powered by a kettle lead, would a Y-split kettle lead i have kicking about be safe to power both of these at the same time? (UK so 230V outlets)

One of these
