"System Volume Information" in wrong folder! Help me delete it please!

nfsimtz

Today I used robocopy to mirror a drive content to another drive's folder.
Using this command to be exact:

robocopy "D:\" "F:\D" /e /w:5 /r:2 /COPY:DATSOU /DCOPY:DAT /MT

It copied okay, but it also copied the System volume information Folder with everything.

Cannot delete the System Volume Information folder now from the directory "F:\D"
I tried mirroring an empty folder into it; but the System Volume Information folder stays.

To see the folder I had to turn on Show "Protected Operating System Files" from the folder options.

I can't get into the folder either and it's 0kb in size.

As long as my understanding goes, such folder should be in the drive root not in a folder; and I have foolishly copied it along with others.
Can anyone help me to get rid of this folder please.

Thanks in advance.

Run a file manager as system, then delete. Or take ownership of the folder with takeown, grant permissions with icacls, then delete.

Holly.... it worked! You saved me Man!! Thanks a lot.
