Is this normal?

As the title said, is this normal? If not, any way to fix it? Sometimes, a small task will increase the disk usage a lot, resulting in slow performance.

Some tasks are constantly accessing the hdd, and there's not much you can do about it if at all.

As far as I can tell service host is quite the important process used by myriads of operations as it is tied to the OS itself; or something along the lines of that. So I'd assume its correlated with the actual usage of your other applications that is frequenting the disk. I wouldn't worry about it. Does your system feel physically slower than usual? I'm a bit skeptic because whether that's read or write speed it shouldn't too bad of an impact on your system's performance.

its really normal especially if you have a slow hdd like a laptop hdd it will really hit perfromance. Really not much you can to about it other than getting an ssd
