Hi forum,

I sold my old android device (Mi 11) and shipped it today to it's new owner. However after I shipped it I realized android FRP is an thing. I factory resetted the device from settings and didn't check if FRP was triggered or not.

I still have the credentials for the Google account that was used (since it's my current account). So removing FRP shouldn't be an problem. But I want to know if you reset an device from settings if FRP is triggered or not.

Thanks in advance!

If you have OEM access apps like Samsung's that are build in, you can use those. Otherwise don't think you can disable FRP unless you've got access to the phone pass iteslf.

But if you factory reset it it's wiped. Cause you know, you've factory reset it. Google's version is more complicated to prevent this exact thing accessing info after wipe, non google versions can have a weakpoint where such data can be accessed even after wipe.

It doesn't for me, but I'm running older android version (7.0).

From what i could find, its triggered usually when it's reset through recovery.

Since you got FRP on somehow after wiping through settings, for your device, yes FRP is triggered.
