Plug-and-play mini ultrawide?

Basically, I am looking for something similar in size and form factor to the Asus PA147CDV - a tiny ultrawide. 
I do not need the niceness of the Asus one (and absolutely do not want to pay that price).

 

I just want something to set up in the gap below my main monitor, to display chats, etc., while I’m doing something fullscreen.
 

I had a look around for cheaper options, and sure, there are tons on Ali Express… but I would prefer a plug-and-play option because I really don’t want to invest time into setting the thing up. 
 

Does anyone have experience with these? Touch capabilities would be a plus but aren’t a requirement.
