Steam on a download timer?

I was curious is there a way to make Steam download within a specific time, I have free internet from 2 - 8 am so I want to take advantage of it.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.

In the steam download settings you can limit the steam Auto updating schedule, i hope thats what you need :D

as far as I'm aware steam itself doesn't have any such capabilities, though if you search I bet your find a software that does that for your internet connection in general.

 

Though "free internet from X to X"? I've never heard of such a beat existing :o

A lot of routers can do that. It's usually under QOS.

I guess it's just strange, I didn't know many company's billed per Gb, unless it's mobile I understand that. For landlines I don't know how they calculate that into your monthly bill? I've always come to understand that for the mobile market it makes sense due to people not downloading huge files at a time so it's safe to charge per gb.  But on landlines it's just odd how the calculations work

just set an alarm for 2, start a download and get back to bed. Free net may be worth the small hassle.

How is the service? I have 25/10 175gb on Bell and I pay $60

 

We just switched about a week ago, So far I can say the service is awesome, they even called us when plugged in our modem to see if we got setup right, So yeah, so far the service has been great, and we do see differences in the speed all the time now. If you can I would recommend switching, it was a great choice for us, we had Rogers 35/3 120GBs/M and it was about $70 so now we pay $10 less and get 45/5 300GBs/M as well as free upload all the time and free download 2 - 8 am, its a great choice.

I want to switch soon, I need more than 175gb, do you know anything about Teksavvy's DSL? For your connection do the speeds stay constant like most of the time you get 45mbps download, any downtimes?

Well we're on a cable package, constant up, the only down was once when we first hooked up, and I was say speeds are good.
