Bios update

I’m receiving a motherboard tomorrow: the MSI B450M-A PRO MAX Motherboard. I need to update the BIOS for the CPU that I’m going to use, but it does not have a BIOS flash—at least, that’s what it says online, and I don’t really know what to do.”

There's two paths:

  1. The motherboard will already have a revision on it that allows your CPU to function and no action needs to be taken. (other than traditionally updating you BIOS if you wish)
  2. Your CPU will not function in the motherboard due to the motherboard not recognizing the newer chip. You will need an older generation chip to update the BIOS. This isn't really optional. Either borrow one from a friend, or take it to a computer shop and ask them to update the BIOS for you.
