If it still happens after resetting the display to factory defaults in the OSD and with another source (other than your PC) then the display might just be defective.

I already tried to reset the monitors settings... that can mean only one thing...

do you have anything else you can plug into it, like a game console or a laptop or even a chromecast or anything with hdmi and a pulse
If so, plug that in and see if the lines are still there. If they are, leave it on for a couple hours and see if they change or go away.
 

If they do go away, theres something bad about your display timing settings
