MacBook Air 4,1 2GB Ram can't install Ubuntu 2024

Hello, Ive been trying to install Ubuntu on my old Air to make it usable again, but I can't seem to install it because it keeps on crashing during the install, I am using a SanDisk 32GB thumb drive, any suggestions? Because I haven't gotten a clue on what to do.

Might want to try a lighter weight distro. 2GB pretty much isn't enough for any current mainstream OS anymore.

Maybe Debian/lxde, or go all the way to something like AntiX.
