7700x + 6800xt + 32gb 6000c32

microcenter 7700x bundle for 370$

buying new am4 is incredibly stupid just because 12th gen comes very close in price when you consider mobos but the 12600kf obliterates the 5600(x)/5700x, am4 is only worth buying used with ~50$ used b450 gaming plus/tomahawk etc. and the 70-90$ 5600(x), 120-150$ 5700x/5800x, and 200-250$ 5800x3d

also theres a microcenter bundle with a 7700x for 370$ so much more worth it than even used am4 or new 12th gen and you get the upgrade path of am5 cause it isnt dead like am4 and lga 1700

used 6800xt/3080 for ~350$ cause new is 150$ more for the same performance (7800xt/4070), dont think its worth going for a <20$ used case and a ~50$ used 850w rm(x) or equivalent psu since gpu wise youll only see a minor upgrade to a 6900xt/6950xt though maybe its worth it if you can get better monitors since thats 100-150$ you can put into better monitors

monitors wise idk about those so ill let someone else reccomend actually decent monitors

This is what i got trying to keep it well in budget: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/g93xQP I would be willing to look at used graphics cards but from what I saw when I just looked is that the price is about the same as a new card, I would like to have an AMD card bc Linux. And I don't really want to go with a used power supply just in case. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them thanks for your help again.

id just go for this but swap the psu for an 850w gf1 since that has a 10 year warranty and not complaints regarding a loud fan

gpu wise used 6800xt should be around 300-350$ or somewhat close to used 3080 pricing

nothing wrong with going new here since the psu will still be a 10 year warranty unit but if you wanna put more money towards the monitors a used psu or at the very least a used case is a good way to do it

btw id expect higher quality units to last 12-17 years so used psu wont be dying of natural causes very soon as lomg as it isnt a decade old already and even then i already have a 13yo dazumba 450w thats still working to this day, ive got 3 used psus all for <20$ and all lower quality units which work fine for my usecase (testbench psu) and they all work flawlessly so a known higher quality unit will be basically risk free
