Which power supply?

cihadagca

Should I go with the Seasonic S12II-520 (520w) or Corsair CX600?

- AMD FX8320 (with Cooler Master TX3)

- Gigabyte R9 280x

- Kingston 2x4gb ram

- 1tb WD Caviar Blue

- Asus m5a97 r2.0 evo

- Case: BitFenix Shadow ATX (Has blue or red LED lights, idk if this is relevant for the PSU)

Gigabyte recommends at least 600w but I heard that that is usually overkill

I would go with the Corsair, because they are both a similar price (Where I live at least), they both have 80+ Bronze and it never hurts to have a little bit of overhead.

You should go with Corsair. Because it is mostly for gaming.

And Gigabyte is right, you should take a Corsair 600W psu - only $70(in India). GPU consumes more power in high loads(playing games).

They are both entry level design, so it doesn't matter much which you go, but the Seasonic does offer better internal components. Where are you buying from and what's your budget?

For that reason, I'd go Seasonic. ^
