Monitor mount advice/help. I'm stuck

DARBADARBZ

I need to mount two monitors.

I would want to wall mount but can't do too invasive of holes. Is there an option that wouldn't mangle my apartment walls?

Would like to do desk mount, but desk is 5.5" thick and can't find one that fits. Anyone knows one that would fit?

Or I would do a freestanding one behind the desk but would need the pole to be 45 - 50" tall and can't find one of those either.

This was my dilemma as well, but there is no way to not put a hole in the wall and expect it to support a monitor's weight properly. I assume your desk isn't actually 5.5" but has one of those piece on the back that spans that long preventing you from using a desk mount. This was also my problem as well at a time. Ended up setting the more expensive desk aside and buying a simple but sturdy IKEA desk and using unconventional means to make it be as firm and unmoving as a more expensive desk. The desk is fairly cheap but has a good amount of depth and width. Maybe you can consider the same.
