ID cooling SL360 Fans

ralphlim35

Need some help with this I'm not sure with these fan it has a 3 pin RGB header and my motherboard (MSI b450 plus gaming) has only 4 pin rgb header if im correct. can I plug it there or I need a 3pin to 4 pin adapter? read some stuff online that you shouldnt connect 3 pin to 4pin rgb headers because of the different wattage? and it could lead to breaking the lights of the fan. Im not really sure about this. hoping you guys could educate me on this

3 rgb pin is 5V, 4 pin rgb is 12V, youll fry the LEDs if you plug the 3 pin into the 4 pin, you can get an rgb hub to plug the fans into

I dont think so as it still requires a 3 pin cable for the rgb data cable

Try unplugging the lights only and see if it still smells.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

And when the lights aren't plugged in, there is no difference in smell, or it's better (or worse)?
