PSU cable length

Squidzy18

Is the Pure Power 12 M 1000W a good PSU in the nzxt h6 flow case? I see some reviews that complain about the cables barely reaching the motherboard but on different cases. Are there any alternatives that have good cable lengths?

This is my build for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KVrsgB

I personally like the RM850x from Corsair a lot!  Great cables and good length 🙂
I only use the RMi/RMx series in all my builds ( 50 builds alone in 2023 ) and they have never failed me.

Oh and 850w is plenty for your setup. I run an overclocked 7700x and RTX 4080 on a RM750i 🙂

Other good PSU's would be: MSI MAG A850GL 850w  -  SeaSonic FOCUS GX 850w.

Should I get the regular RM850X or opt for the RM850X Shift?

That entirely depends on your case. The Shift has the wires coming out towards the back panel and not the normal way PSU's usually have it ( hence the name, Shift ).

If you are unsure, just get the normal RM850x.

They are both identical in terms of spec and offer a 10 year warranty.

The RMx models are very efficient and also have a no fan mode during normal web browsing or even moderate gaming so you won't have any annoying PSU fan noise going on. I have never heard mine.
