Watercooling noob does something wrong

Go to solution Solved by ImLuciano,

So i went back and looked at the site that sells the block. It says "GIGABYTE 2080 TI" in the compatibility list. I assumed this meant my aorus card. Maybe it meant a non-Aorus 2080ti that it could be referencing?

Hi, noob water cooler here.

I have an rtx 2080ti and decided to try (for the first time) watercooling. I bought a water block that says its compatible with 2080ti. It is very much not compatible. Theres a plastic lip on the block that stops it from fitting on the card and some holes dont align. Is there some other compatibility aspect i should have been aware of?

Can you post a link to the block?
