Empty 1U Rack Enclosure Question

Hi guys,

 

Does anyone here have any suggestions for an empty 1U (or 2U would be ok) 19" rack enclosure so I can transplant the guts of a Dahua NVR in to?

 

The Dahua unit is too deep for my Comms cabinet so need to find something a little shallower. Ideally this enclosure would have standoff placements so I can fit motherboards of varying sizes and have space for a psu and hard disk.

 

I currently have everything botched into empty ABS chassis but its held together with hot glue and Sellotape so hardly ideal.

 

Any ideas?

Does it use a standard ATX screw layout?

 

Supermicro makes some small 1U ATX enclosures, but they use short standoffs and screws because standard parts are a tight fit in only 1U of height. (I tried one once with an ITX motherboard, and the stock heatsink bracket was thicker than the standoffs.)

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at Supermicro.

 

The board in question will likely be something proprietary. The last time I looked it was smaller like ITX but a different layout.

 

The chassis that I'm currently using is plastic so it wasn't too hard to mark where the standoffs needed to be so i just screwed straignt into the plastic. Its just not really a long term solution having it stuck together with glue and a lot of hope lol.
