Gaming PC Build €1500 budget

Hi all,

I am looking to build a new PC with a budget of €1500 that'll be able to run all games smoothly.

Budget (including currency):
€1500

Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All kind of games, school work.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
None

I've put together this build:

image.png.ff857df4538a042b18218d217ef8b2ac.png

Is the build good?
Does it need any changes or improvements, what do you recommend?

Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards

What did you change and why?

RAM to 6000 CL30 since that's the sweet spot

CPU cooler to a thermalright Phantom Spirit since it's one of the best air coolers around and it's cheap (only 3 euros more than the pure rock 2 and much better)

Motherboard to a higher end, better looking b650 gaming plus wifi

SSD to an NM710 but if you prefer the NM790 then go for that one

PSU to a higher wattage, Tier A unit for only 9 euros more

GPU to a three fan version since it was the same price and will offer better cooling

Case I'd actually get the CC560 ARGB that was in your original listing, since that one has ARGB fans, sorry for the mistake

CPU is the same since it's great for gaming

Thanks for the reply,

The ram was already 6000Mhz and CL30 for a cheaper price or am I wrong?.
In what way is the motherboard higher end? (I see it has more reviews)

For the rest I agree with your additions.

Thanks

Better heatsinks on VRMs, looks much nicer imo, more chipset PCIe lanes (i believe), supports HDR, not a whole lot tbh, but for 6/7EUR its worth it

I've adapted @filpo's build, cause it is already very good, to include a slightly faster memory kit (that only cost another €0.20), a slightly cheaper but similar quality motherboard (loses WiFi but gains more PCIe and M.2 slots), and a PSU with a longer warrenty. Also added a case that seems like a bargain (just don't put it on thick carpet cause it seems to be bottom intake).

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

I think the ram in your screenshot is 6000 CL32 (from googling), but not sure. Could you send us a link to the ram?

I saw it was 6000 but not CL30. If it is then those lexar models are fine to go with
