Hi everyone I load chrome browser and watch YouTube it's laggy it does eventually stop sometimes.

I have updated all my drivers I have noticed my temperatures reach around 45 and maximum 50 Celsius.

My laptop is a Processor: Intel® Celeron® Processor N2840 upgraded it to 8 gigs of ram and upgraded it to a SSD. My processor speed is 2.58 GHz

Would this be causing the problem?

That is a completey normal and safe temperature for a CPU, themperatures only become a problem when you reach between 90 and 100°C, at which point the CPU would throttle to save itself.

You are running a 10 year old 7,5W dual-core CPU (with very unimpressive clockspeeds I might add), of course that would struggle with pretty much everything nowadays.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end, also I like to edit my posts a lot.

Thanks for replying but surely 2 core cpu and a clock speed of 2.58GHZ should be able to run YouTube without any problems?

No, sadly not. 2,58GHz is really low for a max. clockspeed, even basic newer processors can go up to 3,5 or even 4 GHz, "gaming-grade" CPUs can reach over 5GHz on max turbo.

Edit: I should probably also say that simply the age of your CPU is playing a big role here, a new dual core CPU would be much faster than yours, even though the performance would still not be good in comparison to pretty much everything else.

Sounds like a daft question but I don't play games on my laptop so when I buy a new laptop.

What's the minimum and maximum spec I should look out for in CPU, Ram , graphics cards and anything else I missed out. Thanks

You might want to create a topic in the Prebuilt/Laptop subforum, since I'm not really the best person to answer that.
