external vs enclosure

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

Same thing.

Good thing about getting them separately is that taking them back apart won't void the warranty.

been thinking of getting a SSD external hard drive, but it's quite expensive.
then I saw some cheap 2.5" SSD from SP (S55) and some cheap 2.5" hard drive enclosures.

seeing that i can get an working external cheaper if i went with SSD+enclosure vs external SSD, what exactly are the differences?

would there is an advantage of a external? or are they basically the same thing and has no difference?
