Best program to find gpu instability

Ebony Falcon

Hola boys,

I have a rough oc dialed in but still crashing in a few games, the game freezes but sound continues ( cyber punk and Alan wake 2 both with frame gen and path tracing)

core is running 2880mhz and memory is at +1800

I feel the core is pretty conservative as most are doing 3ghz mark and memory I took down to +1400 but game still crashed, and it’s like after a hour of game play not immediately

any surgestions or what do you guys do to overclock the gpu ?

1800 is a bit high, maybe try +1500, on mine that is +1466.

I run mine at +150core and +1500 mems, so I see core speeds just over 3GHz.

Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 4x8GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3733C14 1.5v
Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC @ 3045/1496 | WD SN850, SN850X, SN770

So I just passed the port royal stress test with 99.9 percent stability after reducing core clocks further (around 2800 underload)

and +1700 on the memory

Ok so just incase anyone has similar issues of passing benchmarks but still crashing run the bench mark on a loop/ stress test mode

I used port royal and turns out I could push 50mhz higher for a single run on the core but on a 40 min loop it would crash at 16 min mark

So 2850 core and + 1950 on the memory passed the 20 loops of port royal

and 1v undervolt is good at 2750 and + 1900 memory

I went with zotac aswell btw after your recommendation on tomshardware fourm

This is my second Zotac, I had an AMP 285 that blew past my EVGA at the time, and my XFX too. I did kill the card by accident, and I have always been sad about it. This one is just as good imo as all the other guys, and has a smaller cooler to boot. I just keep it cool and hope for the best 😄
