Amp for Sennheiser HD599

Hi,

I just got a pair of Sennheiser Hd599 and was looking into possibly getting an amp for it. Would there be any benefit for getting an amp/dac for it? If so do you have any suggestions for a price point around 100 dollars

Nope there is literally 0 point in getting an amp for them.

Yeah there really isn't a reason to get an amp/dac unless your headphones are super quiet, up until around 300usd you're just better off getting better headphones than buying amps and dacs

Even at that point amps really aren’t required. You should only be pushing 80dB max and 99% of headphones can get there from 1VRMS. A DAC maybe but the value proposition is blown away by just getting a better transducer.
