LG Made a Suitcase TV - Stanbyme Go Review

This suitcase TV from LG is something we haven’t seen before, and we needed to talk about it. Part portable monitor, part home theater in a box and part bluetooth speaker.  Is it for Van life? Work trips? Glamping? No matter what, it’s got HDR on-the-go, while you’re camping. The LG Stanbyme Go is... something.

Would be interesting as an open ecosystem concept.

If the briefcase size(s) were standardized and you could swap panels, speakers and battery over the years.  Add in compute, and it's a big portable computer.

I want to know who LG thinks the target market is or what they would use it for?  Mobile pop up marketing or sales?

Nice ad

Why would LG have paid LTT to talk about how their product isn’t very good?

There are so many ways this could have been an awesome product...
And they managed to do approximately 0 of them.

WTF

This had to be sponsored video because there is no way this widely overpriced piece of garbage tech stood out enough to make it to a video on the main channel and not one of the others.

I would have at least given you props for putting a Jackery sponser in this video and been like,  SOOOOOO a much better option would be to lug your 27" gameing monitor, your Jackery power station and a JBL pill speaker and blow away the performance of the thing for half the cost!

This was a real miss spending a full 15 min covering this useless tech item that is going to be defunct in 6 months.

This product doesn't make sense. Doesn't matter if you care so much about the blacks of the screen or something like this, a cheap laptop always were be more practical and cheaper while doing the same function 🥴

"Oh but what if I want to game?"

Gaming laptop, still cheaper than this product + console.

Linus did pretty much say that.

that thing is a piece of garbage.

I'm actually in the market for something nearly like it and seeing that things performance in the video does not spark joy.
it is as if LG gave this task to the people responsible for making the LG Wing.

Like my use case is literally camping and other outdoor gatherings, but I just want something that has some power on its own to run emulators for gamecube and ps2 era, and has input for real consoles. And obviously 1200nit or more because its outside and the sun exists.
and smaller, small enough to fit in a backpack, so like 18-20in

because they can shid on it as hard as they can and 2 million people will still watch it. And of those people, there's still like 0.3% that will think it is still for them and buy one.
