I play AAA games with some fps game like (Valo,Cod etc) and does editing work in my pc

I want to upgrade my GPU to RTX 4070 but I'm little confused that I upgrade my gpu to rtx 4070 or rx 7800 xt and after update i will use whether gpu for 5-6 years.

Rumors by which the doubt arise are :-

1.Nvidia gives better editing performance compared to AMD.

2. Nvidia gives better ray tracing performance than AMD.

3.AMD cards have driver issues.

4.But AMD increases their card performance from 20-30%. So I want all of you suggest which card is better considering my work and usage time and tell me that which rumor is correct and which is false.      Thanks For Reading!

For pure perfomance, even if you plan on using ray tracing, 7800xt is still better, but for video editing yeah I would choose nvidia. Also amd cards don't rlly have driver issues today, the cards I used worked perfectly fine

pls tell me that 4rd rumor is true or false after knowing that i will make my choice to buy one from them

That's not even a rumor, but simply a fact, AMD has better price to perfomance, so you can expect to easily get 20%+ more perfomance from similarly priced amd card, compared to nvidia

I had also listened that after driver's update amd increases their card performance to 20-30%

RDNA2's performance boosts over time might end up being the exception. RDNA2 was also present in both consoles, so there was a lot more money behind its long term success for AMD. RDNA3 being a first generation MCM architecture GPU, likely to be superseded soon, so I wouldn't expect the same gains in my opinion.

The general driver issues with AMD are fine though, they're not perfect, but they're at a good spot where its not a major differentiation between AMD and Nvidia. That crown got taken by Intel, but they've been going nuts with driver improvements, thankfully.
