My 6600 i just got a while ago, worked perfectly fine then when i took it out once and set it on the box for some cable management it just fails to be detected by Device manager, drivers can't even be installed because my only 6600 or higher can use 24.1.1. It spins but doesn't work at all.

I've tried removing cmos, many reset driver deleting and installation, ram stick clean, its not a psu issue I know so only thing I haven't tried is using different parts to see whether its the gpu or something else. At this point I'm lost

So that's kind of your next step then. Does the PCIe port work with a different card? If so, good bet that you need to RMA the 6600. If it doesn't, it's a good bet that you need to RMA the board.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
