New Build

Go to solution Solved by Jay K.,

I have put together a rough part list based off a combination of the lists in this thread, and made a few modifications. I have been fairly out of the loop since ~2022, so any feedback is appreciated.

I went with a single 1TB NVME SSD, I have a 1TB SATA SSD that I can transfer over, so not too worried about storage. I also have two 8GB RAM sticks I could theoretically transfer over, but I would have to check they are compatible, which I am unable to do tonight.

 PC Part Picker List

Budget (including currency): £1000-£1200 maximum

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Development work, streaming and light gaming (Kerbal Space Program (1 and 2), Euro/American Truck Sim, likely others down the road)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): No peripherals required. I have 2x 1080p and 2x 1440p monitors. Would like to buy ASAP. Can reuse a 500gb SATA SSD as a secondary drive, but would like to go with new parts beside that.

I would like 32GB RAM, and for the CPU either 10 or 12 cores.

All parts should be purchasable through Amazon UK preferably

You could go for something like this (I have just built a pc for someone with most of these parts and it seems good) - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/csgQMV

You are likely to end up wanting more storage and wont really be able to play at high settings at 1440p but at medium (which still tends to look good) it should run well.

The NHD-15 is overkill and you shouldnt even need to order a cooler at all with a 13500 as it should come with one but with the NHD-15 it will be a lot quieter and when you upgrade the CPU you will be able to keep using the cooler (Noctua will provide a new mounting kit)

The 120mm fan goes inside the back of that case for a exhaust fan.
