Hello everyone,

I have a critical problem and no matter what I try in the last 8 months, I just can't solve it. I am very desperate guys.

Problem Description: While doing 3D modeling, playing games, or even just using the desktop, the screen suddenly goes black, and the PC freezes. The PC doesn't shut down completely; power is still supplied to the case, but the reset button or power button doesn't respond. I have to turn it off and on via the PSU. On the motherboard display, it shows "memory test," and on the q-code display, it shows 00. In the Event Viewer, it appears as "Kernel power 41'

pc components:

(win10 pro or win11,both tried

Asus x670e extreme
AMD r9 7950x3D
MSI suprim x 4090
G.SKILL 4x16 gskill Z5 6000mhz cl30 expo
NZXT z73 kraken 360
SAMSUNG 980 pro
ASUS rog thor 1200p2

just in case my other all components: C.MASTER Haf 700 evo, Barracuda hdd, ql120 fans, Scheiner Electric ups, socket adapter etc. pg32uq, claymore 2, g pro x superlight (maybe cause an error. I don't really know what should I think, I am sorry)

I had to replace 3 units of 7950x , 1 unit of 7950x3D, 1 unit of 7900(test cpu from tech service) within approximately 8 months. All processors I received (except the first one) gave the same error within 1-2 days. After being checked by the warranty service, each one was confirmed as defective but I don't think they are testing, just giving the RMA. The problem is the "memory code 00" error. They tested each individual PC component, and all of them are functioning correctly. However, even after purchasing closed-box processors four times, I am unable to resolve this issue even I got unopened, brand new cpu.

The BIOS is updated, components are compatible, no issues with cabling, thermal paste is applied correctly, the CPU cooler is properly attached, and all PC components have been tested. I also sent the motherboard to the warranty service, and Asus insists that there is no issue with the motherboard according to their tests.

Occurrences of the error:

During 3D modeling (within 30 minutes to several hours with random times)

Sometimes during stress tests (within a few hours)

While playing games (e.g., Diablo 4, Valorant, RDR2, etc.)

Even when not performing any tasks on the desktop, I still encounter the same error within a few hours.

Now, what I've tried so far:

* I've applied every software-related step recommended by AMD's Global technical service, yet the problem persists( no over or underclocked, expo disabled, clean boot, amd cleanup utility, installing latest drivers, microsoft troubleshooters, SFC Scannow etc.)

* Tests were conducted with 5 processors (3x 7950x (brand new in box), 1x 7950x3D (brand new in box), 1x 7900 (test processor)) (the issue is not with the processor) (Processors work flawlessly in alternative PCs).

* Tests were conducted with 2 PSUs (ROG Thor 1200P2, ROG Thor 1000P) (the issue is not with the PSU).

* I completed tests with my own RAM (2x16GB) and another set of RAM (2x16GB) from the Qualified Vendor List (QVL). All RAM modules were individually tested (using memtest86, mdsched.exe, etc.) (the issue is not with the RAM).

* The GPU passed all sorts of stress tests, gaming sessions, and rendering tests. Cables and every component were inspected by technical service. (the issue is not with the GPU).

I have visited all the forum websites, read threads from users facing similar issues, and couldn't find a proper solution or response. It seems like everyone is saying random things, attempting random fixes, or half of them remain unresolved.

I assembled this system in October 2022. Most of the main components are from the first production series. I feel like I rushed to switch to the AM5 and DDR5 system. Please, someone help. At least guide me on which component might be causing the issue.

Note: I can send msinfo32, dxdiag and event viewer log as a file if you need

Thank you for your attention

Kind Regards
Alihan

Have you tried using a different boot drive?

Also, looking it up in your motherboard manual, the code "00" is marked as not in use, so that is very strange... Have you got the post code set to show temps in the bios? (see setting below) if yes, set it to post code only and see if it still gives "00" when it crashes.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

Sounds like motherboard to me.

Have you tried replacing the motherboard yet?

Is it one of the ASUS X670Es from the initial launch? ASUS had a ton of issues with their X670 and X670E boards at launch, they were cooking processors and everything.

If you have not tried a different motherboard yet that would be my recommendation.

I have always installed Windows on SSD. I can try installing it on HDD and see. I haven't tried another SSD or HDD.
I adjusted the Q-CODE as you said. I will let you know if I see the same code.

Thank you for replied will0hlep

Yes I think initial launch. I bought the first x670e motherboard that arrived in the country. I sent the motherboard to the warranty service, and they insistently claimed that there is no issue and returned it to me. They are not willing to exchange it. In my opinion, they did not test it thoroughly enough. The problem sometimes occurs within the first 30 minutes, and sometimes after a few days of usage. It may not manifest during a few hours of any testing.
Unfortunately, I can't find another motherboard compatible with my components for testing purposes. I am trying to sending motherboard to warrant service again.

Thank you for replied SpookyCitrus
