Windows 11 Hyper V optimization and 10G NIC.

Looking for best hardware and settings to achieve the maximum possible performance on Hyper V VMs created on i9 13900K. I want to run maximum possible VMs with best Network performance on Intel NIC X550 and i9 13900K.

Problems I am facing -

  • 1. How many number of VMs are possible to create safely without loosing performance in Hyper V (i9 13900K)
  • 2. What is best method to calculate vCPUs required to achieve best performance
  • 3. How to achieve best network speeds in Hyper V

In conclusion, what are best steps/technique/method/procedure to create and get best possible performance in Hyper V.

Why does he need VMs for this?

Additionally, if this is for his business, he needs to pay a professional.

He is short on money to buy real systems. He is doing all this on single computer from his home. He can't afford a professional.

Well he can't afford to be in this business then can he.

Why does it need multiple VMs?

Let me rephrase the OP questioning, because it's side tracking.

Why does it need multiple VMs? This is genuinely key.

I am thinking you are more interested in knowing something that is out of contest rather than giving genuine answers related to OP. Here it is not important why any body needs VMs but how can we optimise the process of creating the same.

It's actually super important. It's clear from the oversimplified OP question, and then the evasiveness afterwards that something untoward is going on.

Trying to get around limits of the software? What is the software? This all matters. There is no answer to "how do I optimise lots of VMs" if we don't know what the program is or why it needs multiple VMs.
