5600...more PCIe lanes than the 5600G and will perform better since you are using a dedicated GPU.

The 5600 and 5600G are very different CPUs architecturally despite sharing most of the same name. The biggest difference is the L3 Cache amounts, where the 5600G has half the amount of the 5600 and thus can have noticeably lower performance in some workloads (primarily games).

If you're going to use a dedicated GPU and can spend the extra money on the 5600, it's almost certainly worth it.

*higher PCIe lane generation. The number of PCIe lanes is the same between the two of these, though the 5600G is only Gen 3 capable while the 5600 is Gen 4 capable.

I thought I saw them having less lanes due to the iGPU, like 16 lanes or so (at least only giving 8 lanes to the first PCIe slot).

Thanks for the correction.

Pretty sure you were thinking of the Ryzen 8000G series of APUs, which have 12 lanes total (4 for the top M.2, 8 for the GPU) for the 8700G and 8600G and only 8 lanes total (4 for the top M.2, 4 for the GPU) for the 8500G and 8300G. Either that or the Ryzen 2000G/3000G CPUs, which did do only 8 lanes to the GPU and 4 for the M.2 slot.

I haven't kept up with the 8000 series APUs but now that you mentioned the 2000/3000G CPUs, those were definitely the ones I was mistaking with the 5600G.
